About

My name is Scott Simpson. I live in London, Ontario Canada with my son.

Since childhood, I've been oddly protective of original family media. Tapes, slides, and photographs have ended up in my hands, and I've worked hard to convert them to digital formats that can be shared now and handed down to future generations.

I started Cygnals Multimedia in 1995, in the early days of the World Wide Web, as an independent publisher and voiceover service. It later expanded to digital media conversion.

My move to heirloom video production came after the death of my wife. Amanda was diagnosed with ovarian cancer after a shocking discovery during the birth of our son.

Three years later, hours after the doctor said time was running out and we needed to start making memories immediately, no more delays ... she died. Now our son won't ever have a video of his mother telling him about her life, her dreams for him, the lessons she learned, or the love she felt.

I'm a Media Hoarder, so I have lots of pictures and some videos of events, but I realized that opportunities to carry on a loved one's legacy should not be missed out of carelessness.

I want to help you avoid the heartbreak of having your own memories fade and disappear.

Work with me to preserve your family's stories, and keep a spirit alive in the digital future.
